I’ve spent 20 years making technical projects run

I’m an engineer by training and a project manager by trade, and I do my best work where the two meet.

I started in Stockholm in 2006, as a consultant and client-side project manager for renewable energy utilities: feasibility studies, procurement, contracts and plant projects. I founded The Works there in 2013. As a one-person consultancy, I won multi-year project management contracts against Sweden’s leading engineering and PM firms, and led the client-side teams on two biomass power plants worth close to $200M each. In between, I ran the project division of what was then Sweden’s largest solar energy company.

In 2017 I moved my consulting business to BC. Since then I’ve managed large design and implementation projects for engineering consultants, in long-term care homes, seniors residences, schools, universities, hotels and office buildings across BC and Alberta. I also built the project office and quality systems for an engineering consultancy. That work taught me what PMs in a busy firm actually need, and it’s where I started building AI-assisted tools to take routine work off their plates. I became a P.Eng. in 2023, the same year I moved to Victoria.

Now I bring all of that to engineering firms that need an experienced PM, a better way of running projects, or both.

In Sweden I mentored engineering students and spoke each year to new engineering undergraduates at my old university.
